Summer Reading at BRES
Again this summer, we are pleased to offer a summer program for students entering grades K through 4. This program is intended to help students maintain their reading, writing, and math skills. Your child’s teacher feels that your child would benefit from this program. It will run Tuesday through Thursday mornings, July 11 through August 10, 7:30 - 9:30am.
Parents must provide transportation. However, a bus will take students to Camp Knickerbocker after our program if students attend camp. The bus may be able to stop at local daycare locations, also, if needed.

Summer Sports Physicals
We have reached the end of the school year and at this time no one is really thinking about next fall but it will be here before we know it. Coming up in August we have two days scheduled for sport physicals they are as follows:
August 15th with Anne Barker, NP from 8-2PM
August 16th with Dr. Steven Feder from 8-2PM
Sport Physicals are required every two (2) years. If you’re not sure please call the Health Center or The Family Care Center if you are patients of Anne Barker, NP-C or Dr. Steven Feder and we can let you know if your child is due.
To schedule an appointment for the August dates please feel free to call the Health Center up until June 30th and The Family Care Center at any time @ 633-7820.
Each year BRES applies for federal funds under the ESEA act. These funds are used for a variety of purposes to support literacy and professional development. Anyone wishing to review the application is invited to contact the superintendent’s office at 633-2874 to arrange a time.
Title I Parent Night
Title I Annual Parent Night
The school year is winding down. If your child participates in the Title I (Reading Lab) program, please join us on Tuesday, May 2nd, for our annual parent night. Stop by anytime between 4:30 and 5:00 pm. Children have worked hard in the Reading Lab this year, and we’d like to celebrate their accomplishments and give you games and activities to do over the summer so they can maintain their great gains. Each child will also get to choose a free book! We would also like your feedback about the program and how we might improve it.

Grade 7 & 8 Conferences
November 2, 2016
Parent-Teacher Conferences are an important opportunity where we can sit down and discuss your child’s progress in school. We have scheduled the times and dates for our Parent-Teacher Conferences.
This year we thought instead of calling the office to schedule a time, we would have you sign up on line. The site is up and by signing in, you will see a list of available times. Please use the following web address on our FaceBook page: Much Ado About Boothbay Middle School, or the school website: http://bres.aos98.net which will give you a direct link to our sign-up.
Grade 8 conferences will be on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 from 3 PM to 4 PM and Thursday, November 10, 2016 from 3 PM to 7 PM. Each conference will last for 10 minutes with the 8th grade team. Grade 7 conferences will be on Thursday, November 10, 2016 from 3 PM to 7 PM and Tuesday, November 15, 2016 from 3 PM to 4 PM. Each conference will be 10 minutes with Mrs. Wheeler and Miss Arsenault.
If you are unable to use the links, you may call the office (207-633-5097) to schedule a time. When you call, please have a current email address ready to tell the office, as it will be used to notify you of your conference time.
If the times available do not fit into your schedule, please feel free to contact your child’s homeroom teacher to find another time.
We look forward to meeting with you.
